Real-Time Data

The study of "Space Weather", the ability to predict conditions in the earths magnetosphere and ionosphere, is an important area of research. Changes in the geophysical environment can disrupt and even damage power and communication systems. Real-Time access to data is essential when attempting to predict or forecast the environment.

Several of the northern hemisphere radars have been equipped with high speed data links that have allowed them to be connected to the internet. and modifications to the Radar Operating System has been made so that radar data can be downloaded in real-time anywhere in the world.

Radar Display

The display is a Java Applet that provides an interactive plot of the radar observations. It can be viewed with any Java compliant web-browser.

Convection Maps

The maps use radar data combined with IMF driven models to provide global view of the ionospheric convection pattern.

Line of Sight Velocities

The maps show the Line of Sight velocities observed by the radars.

Time Series Plots

Todays data plotted as a time series. The plots are updated every 15 minutes.

Radar Diagnostics

Radar Diagnostic tools that show the state of the Radar.
